C3 complement (Glomerulonephritis)

I am not sure if C3 complement will arise in this case! For me, it will decrease.

Question:
A 35-year-old woman complained of fever, hematuria, and joint pain. Her laboratory results revealed a positive antinuclear antibody (ANA) test. A renal biopsy demonstrated glomerulonephritis. Which inflammatory mediator would be predominantly increased to mediate renal damage in this patient?
Options:
A)Leukotriene B4
B)Histamine
C)Tumor Necrosis Factor-alpha
D)Interleukin 1
E)Complement C3

Hi! So,some of the components of the complement system depurate imunocomplexes, preventing autoimmunity. ANA positive indicated autoimmunity. I believe that C3 would increase to try to reduce autoimmunity inflammation and, by doing so, mediate renal damage.
