Question: can DCVax-L be made from frozen blood samples?
Dear Professor Ashkan Keyoumars, thank you for your enlightening presentation on autologous dendritic cell vaccines, specifically DCVax-L.
I have a question regarding the manufacturing of DCVax-L. It is my understanding that the vaccine is made using fresh monocytes obtained through a blood draw called leukapheresis. However, I am curious whether the vaccine can also be made from frozen blood samples. Is this a feasible approach, or are there significant limitations to using frozen blood in the manufacturing of DCVax-L?
