Description

Join us for the second session of the KCL Neurosurgery Society's teaching series: Neurosurgery Crash Course. This session will cover the Basics of Neuroanatomy, focusing on cortical anatomy, functions, and the meningeal layers. Learn to identify and describe key cortical structures, understand their functional roles, and explore the protective layers of the brain. This session covers foundational neuroanatomy knowledge aimed at medical students across all levels.

šŸ—“ Date: 16th Oct

šŸ•’ Time: 6pm

šŸ“ Location: Online

šŸ‘„ Open to: All medical students

Build your foundation in neuroanatomy and enhance your understanding of the brain's complex structures and their clinical relevance!

Learning objectives

  1. Identify and describe the major cortical structures and the meningeal layers of the brain.
  2. Explain the functional roles of key cortical regions, including the motor cortex, sensory cortex, and association areas.
  3. Correlate cortical anatomy and the meninges with common neurosurgical pathologies, highlighting their clinical significance in neurosurgical practice.
  4. To foster a solid foundation on neurological anatomy for further study and understanding of advanced neuroanatomy, neurophysiology and neuropathology.
