Five learning objectives for the WPMN Conference 2023 for a medical audience:

1. Attendees will gain a better understanding of the Widening Participation Medics Network and its mission to make the medical workforce representative of the community it serves.
2. Attendees will gain insight into strategies and methods to encourage and support marginalised individuals, including BAME individuals, aspiring medical students during their med school applications and recruitment processes.
3. Attendees will learn how to better mentor both aspiring and existing medical students and doctors in their efforts to create a more diverse workforce in medicine.
4. Attendees will gain knowledge of how to master the UCAT and craft a successful personal statement.
5. Attendees will gain an understanding of how the Royal College of Psychiatrists are working to increase the number of BAME individuals in their recruitment of medical students.
