BBASS explores the factors that contribute to wound infection. We believe this can be ameliorated to a large extent by surgical technique. This includes preparation, tissue handling and closure, understanding of anatomical plains and the way we close, as we described in last week's episode. It always comes done to attention to details, respect of tissues and lightness of touch.
