Hey everyone! NUCCS have another great talk and revision opportunity for asking lots of acute management questions coming up this week for you! Our next session is Working as a Foundation Doctor: Part 2 - Surgical Ward with Maro Kyriacou on Wednesday 2nd November 2022 @7pm.
Here's a little more info on this week's speaker:
My name is Maro and I’m a FY2 currently based at Sleaford GP.
I graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2021. During my FY1 year at the QMC I worked in HCOP, paediatric and HPB surgical rotations. I found all of these specialties to be highly interesting with each of their own unique problems. I have always been keen on teaching and guiding the lower years, especially in terms of how to survive FY1!
Whilst working at the QMC I began undertaking three quality improvements projects in both hepatology and gastroenterology. I had the opportunity to present one of these at the Bristol National Patient Safety conference with an oral presentation.
At the moment I am planning to take an FY3 year to locum with the aim to enter GP training after that. However like the constantly changing field of medicine is, I may change my mind!
We look forward to seeing you tomorrow night @7pm on MS Teams!
