Welcome to Year 4 - the hardest year of medical school, they say? Code Blue's got your back! This is What We Wish We Knew Before Year 4.

Targeted at Year 4 Manchester Medical students, but this event is open to all!

Join us on September 12th, 7pm here on MedAll to hear insider tips from final year University of Manchester medical students who survived the toughest year so far. We will cover:

  • F&C versus M&M - how does the year work?
  • Tackling TCD
  • Making the most of clinical placements & UPSAs to expect
  • Staying organised for PPD
  • Preparing for your exams
  • Planning your elective!

Summary

Join the "What We Wish We Knew Before Year 4" teaching session, aimed at easing the path through the toughest year of medical school. Hosted by Code Blue, this session on September 12 will be led by final year medical students at the University of Manchester, who will provide insider tips on how to sail through the year. The key areas that will be covered include strategies for clinical placements, exam preparation tips, handling TCD, staying organized for PPD, planning your elective, and understanding F&C versus M&M. While targeted at Year 4 Manchester Medical students, the event is open to all.

Learning objectives

1. By the end of the session, learners will be able to understand the structure of Year 4, specifically the differences between F&C and M&M. 2. Learners will gain knowledge on how to effectively tackle TCD during their medical studies. 3. Participants will develop strategies on how to make the most of their clinical placements and will learn about the UPSAs they can expect. 4. The teaching session aims to equip learners with organization skills specifically designed for handling PPD (Personal and Professional Development) during Year 4 of medical school. 5. Learners will be guided on how to prepare effectively for exams and plan their elective during the hardest year of medical school.
