We're pleased to present the next part of our Abortion Care Teaching series, "What every medical student needs to know about abortion"! Our speakers are Dr Jayne Kavanagh and Dr Corrina Horan from Doctors for Choice UK. The agenda will include:
-UK abortion law -UK abortion provision -Clinical aspects of abortion -Counteracting abortion stigma
Understand current UK abortion legislation and provisions.
Identify the clinical aspects of early medical and surgical abortions.
Perform abortion counselling and signposting to other services.
Identify and address ethical issues in abortion procedures.
Take initiative in addressing and counteracting abortion stigma within the medical and wider community.
