Description

This month's talk asks the question, what can we do to help tackle HIV stigma? We will be hearing from Dr Gupta, GUM consultant and member of the British HIV Association Guideline Committee She will use her extensive experience to discuss the impacts of stigma and what, as medical professionals, can do to reduce this. Due to the content of this talk it will NOT be recorded so make sure you come along for the live event!

Dr Gupta has been working in Sexual Health and HIV since 2004.

She is the Clinical Lead of Rotherham Sexual Health Services. The service was highly commended at the national BMJ awards in 2021 in the Women’s Health category for long acting contraception provision. She is a member of the British HIV Association Guideline Committee and on the writing committee for the PEPSE 2021 guideline and the HIV monitoring guideline.

She is passionate about medical education and is an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer. She has been invited to teach on nationally recognised courses, such as the Sexually Transmitted Infection Foundation Course and British Association of Sexual Health HIV masterclass.
