1. By the end of the teaching session, participants will be able to understand and explain the principles of Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) thoroughly, its implementation and the procedures involved in different scenarios. 2. Participants will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to correctly diagnose, evaluate, and treat various types of shock, including cardiogenic, hypovolemic, distributive and obstructive shocks. 3. Learning objective is to master the use of a range of medical and surgical equipment used in ATLS, emphasizing their correct usage in real-life trauma situations and under different circumstances. 4. Participants will be able to assimilate and apply a specialized approach to managing adult and paediatric trauma patients, and manage complex cases through clinical decision-making skills by the end of the session. 5. Another important objective is the ability of the participants to identify and manage the complications associated with ATLS and shock, with a strong emphasis on the appropriate follow-up care after the initial management.
