The West-Midlands Region of the Association of Surgeons in Training (ASiT) is proud to present the second in our series of academic masterclasses. The second session focusses on tackling academic literature and the power of evidence based medicine. We will round off our talks with an inside look into what a high impact surgical journal like the British Journal of Surgery is looking for.

The intended programme for the day is below:

Session 2 (15/05/21): An insider's guide to academic literature and getting published

15:00-15:45 - The principles of evidence based medicine and how to design a PICO
