Description

We are pleased to announce the introduction of vapes into our local stop smoking services in Walsall, aligning with the rest of the Black Country and the West Midlands. This addition aims to expand the range of support available to our residents to quit tobacco smoking.

These sessions are designed to align with Walsall council’s new offering of vapes as a smoking cessation aid. Being something new in the community we need all healthcare professionals and advisors to fully understand and be competent with the facts and information on vapes to enable us all to offer a consistent service to our residents.

As healthcare professionals, it’s essential to be equipped with accurate, evidence-based information about vaping. While vaping is often discussed as an alternative to smoking, several myths still circulate, leading to confusion among both patients and the public. This is an opportunity to address these misconceptions, from safety concerns to its effectiveness in smoking cessation.

Join us in exploring the latest research and gaining valuable insights that will empower you to provide clear, informed guidance to your patients, ultimately enhancing their health and well-being, whilst allowing them to make informed choices on their stop smoking journey.

Let’s work together to clear up the myths and strengthen patient care and harm reduction in our community.
