Hi everyone, GUOS is back for another event. We are excited to invite you all to attend our third free talk of the year, which is going to be focussed on "Vitreoretinal Surgery" and delivered by consultant Ophthalmologist Dr Zachariah Koshy MBBS, MRCO, FRCS, DNB.
Dr Koshy is a consultant in NHS Ayrshire and Arran and The Golden Jubilee National Hospital, where his main areas of interest are treatment of retinal disorders and advanced cataract surgery. Amongst his many roles, Dr Koshy is in charge of post graduate training in the department, sits on the West of Scotland training committee and is on the training faculty of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists and the European School of Advanced Studies in Ophthalmology. He also has an active research interest with a number of papers and publications to his credit as well as involvement in multicentre trials.
This will be a really interesting and broad talk dealing with multiple pathologies affecting the retina including conditions like retinal detachment, diabetic retinopathy, macular hole, trauma, infection, neoplasms, etc. As always, students from all universities are welcome and encouraged to come along.
