Description

The Society of Surgical Simulation (SSS) is dedicated to advancing competency-based, technology-enhanced surgical education across multiple specialties, with the ultimate goal of improving patient safety. Our flagship publication, the Journal of Surgical Simulation, is the world's first international peer-reviewed open-access journal that focuses exclusively on surgical education and simulation.

This year, we are proud to partner with the Barts London Surgical Society (BLSS), the leading surgical education society at Barts and The London School of Medicine. Founded in 1749, BLSS is deeply rooted in the rich history of St. Bartholomew's Hospital, the oldest hospital in the UK, dating back to 1123. Together, we aim to provide unparalleled opportunities for medical students and junior doctors to develop their surgical skills and knowledge through our educational events.

Our upcoming Society of Surgical Simulation and Innovation Annual Conference 2025 (SSSICON) will bring together innovators, educators, and industry leaders to showcase the latest advancements in surgical simulation. By collaborating with BLSS, we aim to build on their longstanding tradition of excellence in surgical education and create a transformative experience for the next generation of surgeons.
