Summary

Urogynaecology, a sub-specialty focusing on pelvic floor and female urinary tract disorders, has seen significant advancements in recent years, with new diagnostic tools, treatment protocols, and an increased emphasis on holistic patient care. However, as with any rapidly evolving medical field, this progress presents the challenge of ensuring that practicing physicians stay current.

Skillfully Conduct a Comprehensive Assessment: By the end of the session, participants will be able to comprehensively assess patients presenting with urogynaecological symptoms, taking into account the nuances of the history, physical examination, and appropriate investigations. Efficiently Identify and Prioritize Management Options: Attendees will demonstrate the ability to evaluate the range of therapeutic options available and determine the most appropriate line of intervention based on the individual patient's condition and preferences. Demonstrate Proficiency in Counselling and Patient Education: Participants will develop the competence to educate patients about their condition, discussing risks, benefits, and alternatives of potential treatments, ensuring informed decision-making. Implement Evidence-Based Practice in Urogynaecological Care: Attendees will apply evidence-based guidelines and protocols in the diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of patients, ensuring optimal outcomes. Effectively Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Teams: By the conclusion of the session, participants should be equipped to collaborate seamlessly with other healthcare professionals involved in the care of urogynaecological patients, such as physiotherapists, urologists, and radiologists, ensuring a holistic approach to patient care.
