To apply knowledge on initial management and treatment strategies for upper GI disorders, including drug therapies, lifestyle modifications and surgical interventions, as well as recognizing when is the appropriate time to refer patients to gastroenterology specialists. 4. To improve clinical decisions making skills by working through complex case studies that represent common upper GI disorders, facilitating learning through problem-solving and critical thinking. 5. To develop strong communication skills to effectively discuss upper GI disorders with patients, empowering them with the knowledge about their conditions, possible treatment options and expected outcomes.
