Delivered in a 40-minute bite-sized webinar by Learn With Nurses Founder and Director Michaela Nuttall.

Learning objectives

1. Understand the diagnostic methods used in type 1 diabetes, including the identification and interpretation of signs and symptoms. What are the diagnostic methods? 2. Discuss management of type 1 diabetes, especially the use of insulin therapy. Consider important lifestyle factors. 3. What are the ideal HbA1c targets in type 1 diabetes? How do we agree on this target with our patients? 4. Prevention and management of hypoglycaemia. 5. Gain insight into the annual review process for type 1 diabetes patients, including the key components of the review. 5. Learn how to assess cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk in patients with type 1 diabetes and understand the relationship between diabetes and CVD, along with the strategies to mitigate CVD risk in these patients.
