Welcome to the third annual SWACC, this year themed 'Acute Care Under Pressure', taking place Saturday 25th & Sunday 26th March 2023!
For those new to us, SWACC is a collaborative medical student conference between the universities of Bristol, Exeter, Plymouth and Southampton.
It is designed for undergraduates interested in the fields of Emergency Medicine, Anaesthetics, Critical Care and Pre-Hospital Medicine. However, anyone interested in acute care is welcome!
We plan to give you two days jam-packed with fascinating talks and interactive workshops from healthcare professionals, alongside poster presentations, and a catered lunch service.
The first day will be hosted on Southampton University's Avenue Campus, with online coverage, and the second will be completely online.
This year's theme aims to highlight the challenges posed to medicine by the evolving healthcare climate. Our talks this year cover:
