Description

Join us for our very first episode of "The Synapse", the Brain Leeds Journal Club series, where we explore key topics in Neurology and Neurosurgery through the lens of research, education and careers development.

In this first session, we welcome a 4th year medical student from the University of Leeds, Sumayyah Ishfaq, who completed an intercalated Master's in Neurosurgery at UCL under the mentorship of Mr Hani Marcus and the Surgical TeQ Group. She will share insights into her application journey, the challenges and rewards of intercalating and the skills/experience she gained along the way. Whether you're considering an intercalated degree or simply looking to get involved in neuroscience research but not sure where to start, this session will provide valuable guidance on where to start and how to make the most of the experience.

Don't miss this opportunity to learn from her first-hand experience and get your questions answered!
