By the end of the session, learners should be able to explain the physiological mechanisms surrounding the listed conditions, including Hypothyroidism, Thyrotoxicosis, DKA, Addison’s Disease, Hyper/Hypocalcaemia, Cushing’s syndrome and Conn’s syndrome.
Participants should be able to identify the symptoms and signs of these T year endocrine conditions, allowing for prompt and accurate recognition in a clinical setting.
Learners should develop the ability to diagnose each of these endocrine disorders, understanding the different tests and procedures that may be used in each case.
Attendees should acquire the necessary knowledge to propose suitable management strategies for each listed condition, including making decisions about treatments and patient care.
Through the use of SBA practice questions, attendees should gain experience in applying their understanding of these conditions to clinical situations, thereby improving their problem-solving and decision-making skills in an endocrinology context.
