Description

FOUR part Surgical Teaching Series covering keys aspects of on-calls and surgical placements. This will be delivered by F2 doctors who have only recently been where you are. This has been designed for medical students at all stages and junior doctors.

Summary

This is the First session of the four-part Surgical Teaching Series is the perfect chance for medical professionals to get a refresher on key aspects of Lower GI acute presentations. Students and junior doctors alike will benefit from the experience of F2 doctors who have recently gone through the same situation. Learning objectives

1. Develop an understanding of red flag symptoms associated with lower GI acute presentations 2. Identify appropriate investigation pathways for acute lower GI presentations 3. Describe the basic work up for and management of common acute lower GI presentations 4. Construct an awareness of multidisciplinary issues that arise in managing acute lower GI presentations 5. Utilise local resources and standards of care relating to lower GI acute presentations.
