By the end of the session, learners should be able to identify the key stages in the training pathway from medical student to fully qualified trauma and orthopaedic surgeon.
Learners should develop an understanding of the skills and knowledge required at each stage of the training pathway, and how these are developed and assessed.
Participants should be able to understand the differences between various training pathways, including the pros and cons of each approach.
Learners should understand the role and importance of continual professional development (CPD) and lifelong learning in the career of a trauma and orthopaedic surgeon.
By the end of the session, participants should have the information they need to make informed decisions about their own career development and training path in trauma and orthopaedic surgery.
