Summary

Join us for a session focusing on Strokes and Neuroimaging!

The session will cover the physiology behind, and the identification of strokes, followed by CT head interpretation. Delivered by two final year UCL medical students from UCL, this session will get you ready for your written and practical exams.

Post-tutorial feedback is greatly encouraged to improve future sessions. Full access to past tutorial recordings is provided. Upgrade your skills and knowledge with us at Teaching Things.

Learning objectives

  1. By the end of the session, participants will be able to identify various types of strokes through neuroimaging.
  2. Participants will understand and interpret CT head scans effectively and precisely to deduce the nature and severity of the stroke.
  3. By the end of the session, participants will be knowledgeable about the different stages of stroke and the corresponding changes that can be observed in neuroimaging.
  4. Participants will gain proficiency in differentiating between ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes through neuroimaging and learn about the different treatments applicable for each.
  5. Participants will learn to make relevant clinical correlations between stroke symptomatology and neuroimaging findings, essentially understanding how imaging findings can influence clinical decisions.
