Description

Welcome back to the Surgical Trainees in the East of England Research Collaborative (STEER) Journal Club. The following session will focus on Screening for Colorectal Cancer. We are excited to introduce our three guest speakers - Mr Sam Hettiarachchi, Mr Alan Askari and Mr Kawar Hashmi!

The session will be divided into three parts:

Part 1 - Critical Appraisal of Paper By Mr Sam Hettiarachchi "Estimated Lifetime Gained With Cancer Screening Tests - A Meta-analysis of Randomised Clinical Trials" (30 minutes)

A summary of some statistics needed to know specifically for screening and a brief summary of Wilson and Jungner's Criteria for Screening!
