Mr Andrew Cameron is an ST6 in General Surgery and Honorary Clinical Lecturer at the University of Glasgow. He graduated in medicine in 2015; after foundation years in Edinburgh he returned to the West of Scotland for Core Surgical Training and Higher Specialty Training in General Surgery. He took time out of programme for research having been awarded an MRC Clinical Research Training Fellowship.
This session will cover the reality of general surgery as a specialty, the structure of training, and suggestions for building a competitive application.
