1. To understand and articulate the medical concepts and theories underlying the use of chest drains and non-invasive ventilation in clinical practice. 2. To gain practical skills in setting up and troubleshooting chest drains on wards, focusing on diagnosis, management and patient care. 3. To develop hands-on proficiency in setting up non-invasive ventilation systems, including correctly fitting masks, adjusting settings as per patient's condition, and monitoring patient's response. 4. To critically evaluate different clinical scenarios when chest drains and non-invasive ventilation could be clinically indicated, thereby improving clinical judgment and decision-making skills. 5. To encourage active engagement in discussions, promoting collaboration and communication between participants, leveraging the expertise of respiratory registrars, Dr Matthew McCall and Dr Kerri-Marie Heenan.
