Description

We are pleased to announce that the 2023 Society for Cardiothoracic Surgery Insinc Student Engagement Day will be hosted at Trinity College, Oxford on November 25th.

This event is aimed at medical students and foundation doctors to inspire a passion in cardiothoracic surgery. The morning will feature inspirational talks, including Professor Stephen Westaby, cardiac surgeon and author of the acclaimed ‘Fragile Lives.’ A sandwich lunch will be provided, following which there will be surgical skills sessions with VATS simulators, rib fracture plating, chest drain insertion, basic suturing and coronary anastomosis. We will have a £25 Geeky Medics voucher for the best student at the VATS simulator and all attendees will receive a discount code for Geeky Medics and Teach Me Surgery.

We look forward to hosting an inspiring day of cardiothoracic surgery!
