1. Identify the bones that make up the face on the skull and plain skull X-rays and relate them to the palpable bony landmarks in the living subject. 2. To define the skin territories of the divisions of the trigeminal nerve. 3. Demonstrate: - the facial artery, vein and branches of the facial nerve. - the disposition and relations of the parotid gland and its duct. - the muscles of mastication and facial expression. 4. Demonstrate the osteology of the mandible, explain the movements of the temporomandibular joint and the actions of the muscles of mastication and their motor supply. 5. List the muscles actions used to test the integrity of the facial nerve. 6. Describe the distribution of the major branches of the mandibular division of the trigeminal nerve.
