  5. Identify the branches of the tributaries of the hepatic portal vein and understand the main portocaval anastomoses.
  6. Understand the formation and course of the common bile duct.
  7. Understand the potential impact of gallstones upon the gall bladder, bile ducts, liver and pancreas.
