1. By the end of the session, learners will be able to accurately differentiate between various causes of central/lower abdominal pain, based on symptom presentation and patient history. 2. Learners will develop an understanding of the diagnostic procedures, both invasive and non-invasive, for determining the cause of abdominal pain in a patient. 3. Participants will demonstrate knowledge in the management and treatment options for common conditions that cause central/lower abdominal pain so as to provide effective patient care. 4. The attendees will be trained in effectively communicating the potential diagnoses, related risks and treatment options with the patients dealing with central/lower abdominal pain. 5. By the end of the lecture, participants will understand the pathophysiology of conditions such as aortic aneurysms, appendicitis, coeliac disease and irritable bowel syndrome, and how these conditions present with central/lower abdominal pain.
