Aim(s): To educate communities on suicide and promote intervention. Objectives: At the end of this session delegates should be able to: Identify people thinking of suicide Overcome barriers in talking about suicide Identify reasons we may miss, dismiss or avoid suicide Practice using the 4-step model of suicide alertness Connect people at risk of suicide with further appropriate help Learning Content: This training session is intended to increase community suicide intervention resources by equipping individuals to undertake first-response actions for those with thoughts of suicide.
