Description

This Conference will be a series of talks by regional and national experts. We focus on changes in surgical practice and cultures that impact directly on the services and training of frontline surgical teams in Wales, especially changes induced post-covid and by evolving digital technologies across NHS Wales.

There will be a simultaneous QI poster competition with abstract submissions via MedAll.

Post-event, all attendees will be provided with an RCSEd Certificate of Attendance (for your Appraisal / CPD portfolios)

This event will take place at The Margam Park Orangery, Port Talbot, SA13 2TJ.

Please note that there is ample free parking is available at the venue.

Attendance to this event is free, however pre-registration is essential. Non-RCSEd surgeons and all members of the wider surgical team are are also welcome. Please note this is an in-person event only.

Summary

Inform delegates of changing practices, culture and opportunities within surgery in Wales. All our speakers will have an emphasis on sharing direct transferable learning that attendees can apply easily into their everyday surgical workplace.

Additional Information: Submit QI poster abstracts before EXTENDED deadline 31st January 2024. 300 words limit for abstracts. Posters will be A3 Portrait orientation.

Please consider staying for the afternoon’s 13th Wales Medical & Dental Student Research Symposium. Surgeon colleagues are also invited to register as afternoon Student Posters’ Judging Faculty.
