Description

Join us for the first session of the Abdomen Block in our Radiology Teaching Series! This student-led session will introduce the anatomy of the abdomen, providing a solid foundation for interpreting imaging in subsequent sessions.

Summary

This is the first of our three sessions on GI radiology. We’re thrilled to partner with University of Birmingham Radiology Society, Edinburgh University Radiology Society and St George's Radiology Society to deliver focused radiology teaching for students.

Sessions will be held weekly, so stay tuned for updates!

  1. To understand the basic anatomical structure of the abdomen, including the major organs and blood vessels.
  2. To recognize the normal radiological appearance of various abdominal structures on different imaging modalities (X-ray, CT, MRI, Ultrasound).
  3. To learn the anatomical relationships between different abdominal organs and structures, and how they may relate to pathology.
  4. To develop a strong foundation in abdominal anatomy in order to interpret and analyze radiologic images accurately.
  5. To establish an understanding of how the abdomen's anatomical structures correlate with physiological and pathological processes.
