Description

Our fantastic speaker, Ragittaran Jayakumar (an FY2 with a massive interest in Radiology), will delve into Abdo X-rays. This will include looking at how to interpret them as well as common pathologies seen, preparing you for your exams and future practice.

Summary

This session will provide medical students with the opportunity to learn more on abdominal X-rays. The session will cover the normal appearances of the organs and tissues in the abdominal region, as well as an introduction to common abnormalities and pathology identification. Attendees will gain a greater understanding of interpretation of Abdo X-rays.

Learning objectives

  1. Go through the basic method of presentation of AXRs
  2. Revise the normal anatomy shown in AXRs
  3. Revise different indications for AXRs
  4. Go through common pathologies which are presented in AXR on exams
  5. Describe common radiological findings associated with chest X-rays.
