This free 1 hour online event is available to anyone who has an interest in MS and hearing from our esteemed speaker Prof Schmierer

Managing multiple sclerosis (MS) in low-resource settings can be a challenge, but there are a number of things that can be done to improve outcomes for patients. Prof Klaus Schmierer, Professor of Neurology at the Blizard Institute and Consultant Neurologist at the Royal London Hospital, Barts Health NHS Trust, has extensive experience in managing MS in low-resource settings. He has published widely on the topic and is a leading expert in the field.

Summary

Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is a complex neurodegenerative disease requiring holistic and comprehensive care. In high-resource settings, multidisciplinary care teams, advanced diagnostic tools, and new-generation disease-modifying therapies have shown promise in managing the disease. However, low-resource settings face unique challenges in the management of MS.
