We are pleased to invite you to an insightful and engaging event featuring Dr. Mark FH Brougham, Consultant Paediatric Oncologist at the Royal Hospital for Children and Young People in Edinburgh.
Dr. Brougham will share his expertise on the late effects of childhood cancer treatment, with a particular focus on fertility and long-term health outcomes. His work has significantly contributed to the understanding of the impact of cancer treatments on young patients, and how we can better support them as they transition into adulthood.
Having trained at the University of Edinburgh and worked in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Glasgow, and Queensland, Dr. Brougham returned to Edinburgh to pursue his MD on fertility after childhood cancer treatment. His extensive experience spans paediatric neuro-oncology and paediatric germ cell tumours, and he currently chairs the UK Germ Cell Tumour Children’s Study Group. Dr. Brougham is also an active member of the Malignant Germ Cell Tumour International Consortium and holds key leadership roles, including Clinical Lead for the MSN Aftercare workstream and Co-chair of the NIHR Cancer and Nutrition CTYA workstream.
Join us for a deep dive into the world of paediatric oncology, where Dr. Brougham will discuss his research, clinical practices, and future directions in improving care for young cancer survivors.
