We’re excited to introduce OSCE Sundays, a national teaching series by Mind the Bleep to help you ace your final year OSCEs! 🌟

Running every Sunday, these interactive sessions focus on key topics for medical students to build your clinical knowledge, communication, examination, and management skills.

Summary

OSCE Sundays by Mind the Bleep invites you to its interactive teaching sessions focused on Cardiology Cases, aimed at helping medical students ace their final year OSCEs. These sessions will provide essential clinical knowledge, improve communication, examination, and management skills. The session will be led by Dr Sana Hashemi, the OSCE Lead for Mind the Bleep. Participants should register before the event, set for 19th January 2025 at 17:00. Join weekly to stay in the lead with your OSCE prep!

Learning objectives

  1. Understand and familiarize themselves with common cardiology cases that often appear in OSCE exams.
  2. Develop the ability to recognize and correctly diagnose different cardiac conditions based on symptoms, patient history, and diagnostic tests.
  3. Enhance practical skills related to cardiology, including interpreting ECGs, interpretation of clinical signs and explaining complex cardiac procedures to patients.
  4. Discuss and apply the most current and effective treatment methods for various cardiac conditions.
  5. Improve communication skills for explaining diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis to patients with cardiac conditions in a clear, sensitive, and empathetic manner.
