1. By the end of the teaching session, participants will be able to demonstrate effective verbal and non-verbal communication skills in a medical setting. 2. Participants will gain the skills to handle challenging consultation scenarios, such as delivering bad news, by employing appropriate, empathetic, and respectful communication techniques. 3. Participants will learn to understand and appreciate the importance of developing strong patient-doctor relationships, fostering trust, upholding patient dignity, and maintaining confidentiality. 4. Participants will be able to apply the principles of ethical communication in different contexts, including informed consent, handling complaints, and respecting patient autonomy. 5. Participants will understand how to utilize active listening techniques to accurately comprehend and perceptively respond to patients' feelings and concerns. Their ability to convey empathy, non-judgment, reassurance and engagement in the patient conversation will be assessed.
