1. To understand and identify common conditions and diseases usually encountered in oral and maxillofacial surgery (OMFS). 2. To develop competence in the initial emergency management of common acute conditions presented in OMFS, including clinical decision-making and treatment selection. 3. To learn the necessary surgical techniques and non-surgical treatments for handling cases related to oral and maxillofacial conditions. 4. To gain knowledge on when to initiate immediate treatment versus when to refer to a specialist in case of specific emergencies related to OMFS conditions. 5. To increase skills in interpreting radiographic and other diagnostic tests related to oral and maxillofacial conditions.
