NSATS are delighted to announce the next session of the series - Session 12: Liver and Gallbladder & Hepatobiliary Surgery on Wednesday 18th January 2023, 6-8pm π
PART 1: PEER-ASSISTED TEACHING - Liver and gallbladder anatomy teaching led by junior doctors and medical students (intercalated in BSc Clinical Anatomy) π
PART 2: SURGICAL APPLICATION - Surgical teaching led by an expert surgeon taking you through the surgical anatomy of common procedures in Hepatobiliary Surgery.
Introducing your Expert Surgeon for the evening: Mr John Moir π
Mr Moir is a Consultant HPB/Transplant Surgeon at the Newcastle Upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. He has an active research interest, having completed a CRUK fellowship-funded PhD on pancreatic cancer at Newcastle University, published extensively, received several research prizes, and was recently awarded the ASGBI/PCUK travelling fellowship. He maintains a keen interest in training and education, further evidenced in setting up and now chairing the North East Surgical Training Academy (NESTAC).
