NSATS are delighted to announce the next session of the series - Session 5: Face and Dental & Maxillofacial Surgery on Wednesday 2nd November 2022, 6-8pm 😍
PART 1: PEER-ASSISTED TEACHING - Face and dental anatomy teaching led by senior medical students (intercalated in BSc Clinical Anatomy) 😍
PART 2: SURGICAL APPLICATION - Surgical teaching led by an expert surgeon taking you through the surgical anatomy of common surgical procedures in Maxillofacial Surgery.
Introducing your Expert Surgeon for the evening: Miss Zarina Shaikh 😍💉
Miss Shaikh studied Dentistry in Birmingham Medicine in Bristol, Graduating in 2000 and 2006 respectively. She is an enthusiastic educator with former roles in the Faculty of Dental Surgery, and an international lecturer with wide-reaching educational interests not only in the specialty of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery but also in Culture Change and Diversity. Miss Shaikh is the Founding President of the UK Society of Women in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and an advocate for minority groups in the NHS and worldwide.
Her chosen specialist interests are in skin cancer surgery and oncology. Miss Shaikh began her consultant career in 2014 in the Southwest of England and she has now relocated to Manchester.
Her outside interests include Music, Painting, Running and Writing (fiction).
