PART 2: SURGICAL APPLICATION - Surgical teaching led by an expert surgeon taking you through the surgical anatomy of common procedures in neurosurgery!
Introducing your Expert Surgeon for the evening: Ms Saqiba Jadoon π π©π»ββοΈπ§
Ms Jadoon is an ST7 senior Neurosurgery Registrar currently at Birmingham Childrenβs Hospital. Whilst completing her medical degree at University of London, she undertook multiple International placements in Neurosurgery which cemented her interest in the field. Prior to entering specialty training in the West Midlands, Ms Jadoon had undertaken a rotation in Neuroscience. Long term, Ms Jadoon has plans to specialise in Global Neurosurgery delivering surgical care to low & middle income countries. πππ§
Surgical procedures to be covered: πβ€οΈ
π§ Brain tumour resection (using a real patient case!)
π§ Burr hole and craniotomy techniques
π§ Preoperative imaging and principles of neurosurgery (the bread and butter of neurosurgery!)
ALL attendees will receive:
β 2 CPD points and certificate of attendance (CPD points awarded by RCS England)
β Additional certificate for participation in our research study
β Post-session handout (new and improved)
β Practice MCQs & OSCE case-based discussion questions
