Description

Non-technical skills are the mark of the well-rounded surgeon. Being able to navigate the surgical team and work effectively can mean the difference in high-pressure situations. Mr Paul Gallagher, the head of the North East School of Surgery, will be talking to us about what non-technical skills mean in surgery, and how you can work on these from an undergraduate level. Mr Gallagher is an accomplished upper GI surgeon in the North East, with a real passion for surgical education. Alongside his work overseeing surgical training in the North East, he is an examiner for the intercollegiate FRCS (General Surgery) and has previously acted as examiner for the MRCS. We hope you can attend this session to gain some real insights into these essential and often overlooked skills!
