Description

National Paediatric Teaching series run by the Lincoln Paediatrics Society. This is a student-led teaching series. The teaching series aims to educate students interested in learning about paediatric topics. Everyone is welcome to attend and certificates will be given for attendance of at least 3 sessions in the national series programme!

The seventh episode of the series will be presenting teaching on Paediatric Cardiology, delivered by our speaker Tara Hayes on 22.11.2023 at 7 pm, join via the Medall Link.

Learning objectives

1. Identify common cardiac conditions in the paediatric population. 2. Explain the importance of echocardiography in the paediatric population. 3. Describe the common treatments available for paediatric cardiac conditions. 4. Describe risks for developing cardiac conditions in the paediatric population. 5. Apply the principles of paediatric cardiology when identifying and managing suspected cardiac conditions in the paediatric population.
