Description & schedule

Summary

The highly-rated Roadshow is coming to the Midlands! The "Proctology Roadshow" is a collaborative effort between The Dukes' Club and St Mark’s Hospital (Mr. Phil Tozer), in association with the ACPGBI Proctology Committee. We provide comprehensive training in all your proctology needs. The Roadshow is a series of lectures and operative practices focused on basic and advanced proctology conditions and procedures. Operative practical sessions on porcine models for hands-on practice.

Learning objectives

1. Understand and identify different proctology conditions and diseases like haemorrhoids, fissures, warts, STI, AIN, pruritis ani, perianal dermatology, pilonidal disease, anal fistula, perianal Crohn's disease and rectovaginal fistula, and the corresponding treatment options. 2. Gain knowledge on operative procedures like EUA, lateral sphincterotomy, haemorrhoidopexy, advancement flap, and LIFT procedure and the conditions in which they are applied. 3. Through the operative practical sessions, apply theoretical knowledge into practice and manage basic and advanced proctology conditions, and conduct relevant procedures on porcine models. 4. Learn how to read and interpret Proctology MRI and utilise this practice in diagnosing and managing proctology conditions. 5. Engage in a Proctology MDT, or Multi-disciplinary Team discussion with experts in the field, with the aim to discuss clinical cases, and understand the roles of different members of the MDT while managing proctology conditions.
