A panel discussion on the role of neuroscience technology in healthcare with Professor Andreas Schaefer & Professor Crystalina Antionides.
Prof Andreas Schaefer is Professor of Neuroscience at University College London (UCL), a Group Leader of the Sensory Circuits and Neurotechnology Laboratory and Assistant Research Director at the Francis Crick Institute. A physicist by training, he obtained his PhD at the Max-Planck-Institute for Medical Research in Heidelberg, Germany, under the supervision of Bert Sakmann.
Prof Chrystalina Antoniades is an Associate Professor of Neuroscience at the Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences, Chair of Clinical Nuerosciences Society and leads the NeuroMetrology Lab. Her work centres around investigating early stage Parkinson’s Disease to improve diagnosis and monitoring of disease progression via biomarkers and wearable devices, as well as the neurophysiological effects and mechanism of DBS.
