To identify various causes, including disease or infection, and drugs, that can trigger nausea and vomiting in patients. 3. To learn how to assess the level and severity of a patient's nausea and vomiting, including recognizing potential red-flag symptoms indicative of serious underlying medical conditions. 4. To acquire knowledge on the variety of treatments available for nausea and vomiting, including pharmacological interventions, and their applicability in different patient populations or conditions. 5. To develop skills for professionally communicating with and educating patients on handling episodes of nausea and vomiting, and strategies for prevention.
