Surgeons report high levels of fatigue and pain in the neck and lower back during or after performing a surgical case and is noted that they spend a disturbingly high percentage of time during surgery in high-risk musculoskeletal postures, especially the neck. Longer procedural times result in more fatigue and pain, and it is worse for open versus laparoscopic procedures. Little attention is given to educating the training surgeon how to maintain a good posture during surgery. BBASS is going to explore what you can do before, during and after an operating list to maintain your musculoskeletal health throughout your career. BBASS also explains how to get the best out of your upper limb function and hands!
We are grateful to for the comprehensive guidance that is published on our website BBASS.org
