By the end of the session, participants will be able to explain the anatomical landmarks and positioning for a lumbar puncture procedure, including potential confounding factors due to patient anatomy. 2. Participants will be able to understand the indications, contraindications and complications of performing lumbar puncture, and apply this knowledge to patient case scenarios. 3. Participants should be able to demonstrate the correct preparation and use of lumbar puncture kits, including aseptic technique and local anaesthesia administration. 4. Participants will develop the ability to interpret lumbar puncture findings effectively, such as cerebrospinal fluid analysis and the concept of 'opening pressure'. 5. Participants will be able to confidently explain the procedure of lumbar puncture to patients, addressing possible risks and benefits, to ensure informed consent and trust relationship.
