JASME’s inaugural conference will take place on the virtual platform GatherTown and is aimed at students and junior health professionals. Delegates will learn skills and opportunities to get involved in MedEd now and in the future and meet like-minded people to broaden their MedEd horizons. The conference will be composed of speakers from the world of MedEd, Q&A, networking, practical workshops, poster and oral presentation opportunities, and prizes up for grabs for presenters and attendees.
The conference's confirmed speakers are Dr Amie Burbridge, Dr Enam Haque, Mr Simon Fleming and Dr Yvonne Mbaki, and workshops will include themes such as virtual teaching, disability in MedEd, and getting started with MedEd research. There will be ample opportunity for oral and poster presentations, and prizes available for the best presentations and engagement on the day, to be presented by Dr Sandra Nicholson (ASME Chair).
Audience: Anyone is welcome to attend from any branch of healthcare; the conference is aimed at students and junior health professionals, from medical students completely new to conferences through to FYs wishing to present their research at a national professional conference and everyone in between!
Anyone interested who’s unable to purchase membership, or are a WP student currently awaiting confirmation of status, may make this known on the submission form.
